5 Authentic Korean Fried Chicken Restaurants in San Francisco
Aria Korean American Snack Bar: Hidden in Plain Sight
The 12 Best Korean Restaurants in San Francisco & Oakland
Where to Eat and Drink in the Tenderloin
A pocket-sized Larkin Street gem, Aria has been slinging top-notch KFC (Korean fried chicken) for years now. But a recent revamp has produced a menu loaded with guilty-pleasure Korean fare that stoner dreams are made of. The chicken’s still tops, but it’d be a mistake to pass on unctuous rice cakes in spicy sauce, loaded with everything from fish cakes to mozzarella cheese; no-frills Korean ramen topped with a holy trinity of kimchi, SPAM, and egg; and the cheekily named “secret menu” (it’s on their website, after all) with a selection of fried mandu (dumplings). There’s seating for just three or four at Aria’s counter, but their takeout business is popping (ideal for any hungover Postmates needs).
